Crainio is proud to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted its patent covering the use of photoplethysmography (PPG) for non-invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) measurement.

This patent represents a major milestone in Crainio’s mission to develop accurate, accessible tools for assessing brain health without the risks associated with invasive monitoring. The newly granted intellectual property strengthens Crainio’s global innovation portfolio and reinforces the company’s leadership in the field of non-invasive neurodiagnostics.

“Our technology harnesses photoplethysmography—a well-established, low-cost optical sensing method—to estimate intracranial pressure safely and reliably,” said Jeremy Holland, CEO of Crainio. “Securing patent protection in the U.S. is an important step in bringing this transformative capability closer to clinical practice.”

The U.S. patent adds to Crainio’s growing IP portfolio as the company continues advancing its platform toward standard-of-care accuracy and regulatory readiness.
